Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a great location near Matlock Bath, with beautiful grounds, but the room, although dog-friendly, felt isolated and had issues with temperature control. The service was mostly friendly and attentive, although there was one rude encounter. Dining offered a good selection of freshly cooked food. Overall, a reasonable value for the facilities provided.
The hotel offers generous rooms with good amenities, although a proper shower would be preferred over the cramped bath attachment. The lovely garden views at the back enhance the stay, but ventilation in the rooms could be better.
I booked this hotel for my 91-year-old mother, and it exceeded our expectations. The lady on reception was spot on, and the young lady who found us some toothpaste was very helpful. The dinner at the restaurant was amazing, and the breakfast was 10/10. I would definitely come back for another stay! ❤️
